Little Girls On PA TV: Jews Are 'Barbaric Monkeys, Wretched Pigs'
Big Government -

Palestinian Authority TV recently aired a segment in which two young sisters read a poem naming Jews as "barbaric monkeys" and "wretched pigs."

The sisters, who looked no older than 11 or 12, took turns reading the poem that described Jews as those "who were brought up on spilling blood" and who have "been condemned to humiliation and hardship." They described Jews as "the most evil among creations."

The lyrics of the poem claim that Jerusalem does not belong to the Jews, nor does it want the Jews. Rather, it "vomits" Jews out because of there "impurity" and "filth."

The PA TV broadcast of the two sisters was reported by Palestinian Media Watch.

Secretary of State John Kerry has not indicated whether he will demand that the Palestinian Authority apologize for the program, or if he will bring it up when he is with them later this week.

California's Disappearing Businesses
Big Government -

California is losing businesses at a faster rate than the rest of the nation. The Bureau of Labor Statistics has the hard evidence: by the end of 2012, there were 1.3 million businesses left in California, 73,000 less than the year before, a 5.2% drop.

The second-fastest drop in number of businesses was in Massachusetts, where 5,200 businesses were lost. The second highest percentage of businesses lost was in Kansas, where there was a 3.1% drop.

Nebraska grew fastest, with a 11.9% growth rate for businesses. Either businesses are leaving California in droves or they are closing; Kevin Klowden, an economist at the Milken Institute’s California Center, said, “It’s more likely the disappearance of a number of businesses than it is businesses leaving California,”  and added that the recession hit California quite hard.

Yet Florida, which has the second-most businesses and was hurt in a similar fashion to California as its real estate plummeted, grew new businesses at the seventh-fastest rate in the country.

California’s tax burden is the fourth highest in the nation, barely behind New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. Florida ranks 31st.

Joe Biden: Brother can ya spare a (campaign) dime?
Hot Air -

This much

Is Joe Biden going to run for President when Barack Obama’s term is finished? The magic eight ball isn’t putting forth any definitive answers, but there are clearly a number of people in the Vice President’s inner circle who are thinking long and hard about it. But one problem, as this Politico report indicates, is [...]

Celebs Hope to Influence New York City Mayoral Race
Big Government -

Some of the same celebrities who successfully pushed a second Obama term on the country are trying to influence New York City voters.

Alec Baldwin, Sarah Jessica Parker and Whoopi Goldberg are among the big names attempting to sway Big Apple denizens in the upcoming mayoral race.

Last weekend, Democratic mayoral contender Christine Quinn unfurled a star-dusted list of pro-gay-rights backers of her bid to become the city's first female and first openly gay mayor. Among them: singer Lance Bass, actor Neil Patrick Harris, director Rob Reiner and Project Runway style czar Tim Gunn, who said Quinn would "make the position of mayor the bully pulpit it needs to be to fight for all New Yorkers."

Ten days earlier, Alec Baldwin announced that he'd raffle off two dinner invites to any-amount donors to Democratic candidate Bill de Blasio.

Mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner, famous for his Twitter-fueled fall from grace courtesy of Andrew Breitbart, hasn't collected any celebrity endorsements quite yet. The same isn't true for the Republicans in the field.

Republican candidate George McDonald, meanwhile, has links to actor Ethan Hawke, a longtime supporter of the Doe Fund, the homelessness-services nonprofit McDonald runs. GOP rival John Catsimatidis has been cultivating a theatrical tie of his own — the billionaire businessman has been underwriting performances of The Little Flower, actor Tony Lo Bianco's one-man show about former New York Mayor Fiorello La Guardia.

#1: When creating lolbama! pictures, please caption with either black or white text, as colors like red and yellow tend to blur badly when I compress the images.

#2: Standard image size for these posts is 350px wide by whatever high. If you can have your images 350px wide before you caption them, I won’t end up shrinking your captions into illegibility when I re-size the images.

MAKE YOUR OWN: The free lolbuilder from I Can Has Cheezburger.

STYLE NOTE: Short captions are usually better. Your goal is 10 words or less, with humor value tending to increase exponentially as the number of words approaches 1.

IMAGE SOURCES: Lots of great Obama pics to be found at the White House Flickr page.

Send your submissions to and – if they aren’t obscene (IMAO is a PG-13 site) and don’t suck too terribly bad – I’ll post them for you. Remember to include your name (and blog URL, if applicable) so I know who to thank.

Thank you for Paula Deen cookbooks!
World Net Daily -

Thank you for selling Paula Deen’s cookbooks.

She is being railroaded for something she said 27 years ago when life was so very different.

My problem is, if white Americans are not allowed to say the “N”-word, then the black American folks should not be allowed, either.

It offends me to hear the word from anyone - black or white.

Obama ducks criticism of his support of Muslim Brotherhood Morsi with lies - Canada Free Press, by Judi McLeod Posted By: snowcloud- Sun, 07 38 2013 07:38:42 GMT A lie is a lie in any language. A lie is a lie in any country. And on today's political front there is no bigger liar than President Barack Hussein Obama. Obama, who reiterated only yesterday that the U.S. is not aligned with and is not supporting any particular political party or group while condemning the ongoing violence across Egypt, is lying and his condemnation of the violence merely the far away mewlings of a paper tiger. Spokesman Denies Reports of VA Governor's Pending Resignation
Big Government -

Late Saturday evening and early Sunday morning, the communications director for embattled Virginia Republican Gov. Bob McDonnell denied a report on a prominent Virginia politics blog that McDonnell was finalizing plans to resign from office.

McDonnell has come under fire for potentially having violated the state's ethics laws by not reporting a Rolex watch valued at around $6,000 when laws require him to report any gift valued over $50. McDonnell's office has claimed the gift was from a "personal friend" and thus not in violation of the state's ethics laws.

Bearing Drift, one of the most respected and indispensable sites on Virginia politics, reported on Saturday night that two independent sources said McDonnell is "currently in the middle of finalizing a plea agreement which includes his resignation as governor." Bearing Drift also reported "multiple more sources confirming plea agreement is definitely being finalized."

Sources also independently confirmed to JHPolitics on Saturday night that Bearing Drift's story was accurate. Like Bearing Drift, JHPolitics provides extensive coverage of Virginia politics.

Because Bearing Drift has considerable influence in the Commonwealth, the blog post did not go unnoticed by reporters and political observers or unanswered by the McDonnell camp.

McDonnell communications director J. Tucker Martin repeatedly insisted on Saturday and Sunday to state and national reporters--and on Twitter--that reports of McDonnell's impending resignation were false.

Early on Sunday morning, Bearing Drift's Shaun Kenney wrote that Willie Deutsch, the contributor who posted the story, stood by his reporting and has agreed to potentially be banned as a contributor should his report be proven incorrect. Kenney wrote:

Bearing Drift editors and contributors spend a great deal of talent and time ensuring that when we do post stories and opinions, we do so with integrity.  That is a tradition begun here by Jim Hoeft and Brian Kirwin, and upheld by the likes of Norm Leahy, Scott Lee, Brian Schoeneman, and myself.  We take a great deal of pride in this, and rarely are we burned by exhibiting trust in our contributors.

For the record, Mr. Deutsch stands by his sources and stands by his post.  Should his post prove erroneous, Mr. Deutsch understands that he may very well be removed as a contributor here at Bearing Drift.

The FBI is reportedly investigating McDonnell over reports that the CEO of Star Scientific gave McDonnell the Rolex watch at the urging of his wife minutes before a meeting McDonnell's wife reportedly arranged with state health officials and the CEO. The CEO, Jonnie R. Williams, pitched state officials on the company's health products.  McDonnell's wife also reportedly went on a lavish $15,000 shopping spree in New York with Williams. The FBI is also reportedly investigating McDonnell for using taxpayer funds to buy himself and his family personal items, petty theft from the Governor's mansion, and having a donor pay for his daughter's $15,000 catering bill for her wedding in 2011.

Breitbart News has reached out to McDonnell's spokesman for comment. We will update this post when we receive a response.

No longer 'One nation under God'
World Net Daily -

Re: “‘Gay’ threats of violence turn into attack”

Thank you for running the article about the preacher who was attacked.

People need to know about the ones who incite violence. I am a Christian and fully believe in my Bible, the right to religion of my choice and the right to practice my religion.

The Lord states clearly that we are not to judge, but he also says homosexuality is an abomination to Him. I choose the take the Bible literally, and not to add to or take away any part of the Bible. By the way I worship from the “King James” version.

All I know is when they incite violence, the Lord will deal with those that do. I will pray for those people because I’m very saddened to see what our beautiful country has become. We are not “One nation under God” any longer.

Time to forge an alliance with Glenn Beck
World Net Daily -

Dear Joseph Farah:

You are a true watchman for our nation who does not get the credit at this time in our history that you truly deserve. You expose truths that are not exposed publicly elsewhere. Is it possible that you should begin more reporting of those with greater audiences? in order to grow your audience?

For example: Glenn Beck just completed a production titled “Man In the Moon” in Salt Lake City, Utah. Why not report on this event and what Mr. Beck is attempting to accomplish in our nation? With such a report by your organization, you would get advertisement to Beck’s thousands that you currently are not reaching. Beck’s friends standing before him are God-respecting, Constitution-respecting individuals desiring knowledge and righteous government.

These individuals need what you are providing in the work you do, as well as what they get from Beck. You bring knowledge to the table that Beck does not bring or simply skims

Beck is getting our people to nurse and drink milk, but you provide “meat” for those who are ready to graduate to more. I believe if you reach out, beginning subtlety by simply reporting on Beck’s work, additional blessings will follow for you.

You are greatly appreciated. May God continue to bless you in all that you endeavor.

Great advice for 'pro-choicers' to consider
World Net Daily -

Re: “‘Hail Satan!’: The new pro-choice mantra”

Christ told the followers through St. Paul that those most likely to convert were those that were hot or cold but not lukewarm

I believe Matt Barber’s one paragraph could really help some extremists see the light, and this paragraph needs to be posted on blogs, twitter and Facebook:

“Do you consider yourself ‘pro-choice’? Perhaps it’s time to reconsider. When ‘pro-choicers’ find themselves shouting ‘hail Satan!’ over a chorus of ‘Amazing Grace’ at a gathering geared toward saving babies, maybe it’s time to dust off that ol’ worldview and give it a second look.”

George Will: 'What Obamacare Requires For it to Work - Mass Irrationality'
Newsbusters -

George Will made a marvelous observation Sunday about the so-called Affordable Care Act.

Appearing on ABC's This Week, Will said, "What Obamacare requires for it to work - mass irrationality, both on the part of employers to ignore that incentive and on the part of young people who are supposed to pay 3, 4, 5 times more for health insurance than it would cost them to just pay the fine and ignore it" (video follows with transcript and commentary):

28 Cubans make it ashore at Southernmost Point Friday - Key West Citizen [Key West, FL], by Sandra Frederick Posted By: PageTurner- Sun, 07 26 2013 06:26:18 GMT For most visitors of the Southernmost Point, a stoneĀ“s throw from Mile Marker 0, it is daylight hours when they stand beside the colorful bouy landmark smiling for a photo. At 3 a.m. Friday, 28 Cubans made a landing, but it was a far cry from the usual hustle and bustle of tourist season. Another three made it ashore in Marathon on Thursday around 9:20 a.m. Instead, this group came ashore in the dark with little else but the clothes on their backs. Once U.S. Customs and Border Protection authorities were notified, the refugees were well on their way to freedom.
